Cesky Krumlov Walk

Hello,
I am working on planning our time in Cesky Krumlov. About how long does the walk Rick Steve’s writes take? Is this sufficient or is it important to hire another walking tour he suggests?
We’d like to do a short raft ride, do the Eggenberg brewery tour, the Baroque theater tour, and maybe the Seidel Photo Museum.
We will be there two nights but only one full day.
Thanks!

We were there two years ago, and regarding the walking tour guides, the info in the Guide Book was not consistent with what was actually available at the TI office. When I checked the TI office website, that info was confusing. We ended up taking the "free" group walking tour with the guide with the red [I think] umbrella. It was a good tour, about 90 minutes, as we would not have found all the alleyways and sights without him, and tipped him well. I believe it was a mid-morning tour, and the times change by the seasons.
We stayed at the Castle View apartments, attic room, in April. Can't speak to the air conditioning in the summer months.
Have a great trip!

Kallie,
We spent two amazing nights last September in CK at the Castle View Apartments. They have AC. A wonderful breakfast is served steps away at a hotel. We took an early morning 2 hour walking tour with historian Karolina, owner of Krumlov Tours.. We had CK all to ourselves. Karolina takes you off the beaten path. She is knowledgeable and engaging. Afterwards we toured the exquisite Baroque Theater. www.krumlovtours.

We recommend Papa’s Living Restaurant on the River. We ate there twice. I would recommend advance reservations especially if you want to dine on their deck. CK was the highlight of our time in Central Europe. Enjoy!
