Cesky Krumlov- length of stay and air conditioning

How many days are recommended to visit Cesky Krumlov? We could spend two full days there, or use one of the days to visit Konopiste and Karlstejn Castles (or others). Also, we will be visiting early in September. Will we need air conditioning at this time of year? I'm still looking for a hotel with air conditioning. I would appreciate a hotel recommendation.

Night and day if you are in a hurry. Even with two full days you will always find something to do or see. C.K. because it's in the mountains is cooler than Prague and AC is usually not needed. September should be OK. Nights will be cool if not cold.

I took CK Shuttle from Prague leaving early in the morning and arriving there around lunchtime, and left for Vienna late the following morning, so I had basically one day and one night. It really depends on your interest level; if I'd had another day and a car, I would probably have elected to see the castles, but I could also have filled another day in Cesky Krumlov without getting bored.

I stayed at the Hotel Grand, which is right on the town square (that was important to me due to my short stay). I would stay there again. The room was fine, though it had a sloping ceiling which made the shower interesting to use. I can't remember if it was air conditioned or not, but it was relatively cool when I was there (in mid-July). My room was up a couple of flights of stairs but that didn't bother me; I stayed in several places without elevators.
