Hi, we are a family of 4, children aged 18 and 15 spending Christmas in Salzburg and then on the 27th December travelling to Cesky Krumlov and then on to Prague.
We are trying to decide if we should stop via Hallstatt and Linz on the way arrive late afternoon and then spend 2 nights in Cesky Krumlov or if we should go there direct and only spend 1 night in Cesky Krumlov and then head to Prague for 4 or 5 nights. I understand the castle is closed for tours during winter. We are outdoor adventure people and would have loved to do the rafting in the warmer months but obviously this is not available this time of the year.
