I'll be visiting the Czech Republic in May 2019 to visit some relatives and do some independent touring in southern Bohemia. For this part of the trip, we would like to rent a car. We will be using trains and buses for the other areas. We would like to get the car in Ceske Budejovice or Cesky Krumlov. A lot of the major companies have a maximum age of 70 and we are slighly over. And the ones that don't only rent in Prague. Does anyone know of any local companies in southern Bohemia where we could rent a car for about a week. Thank you.
Contact the guys at Czechocar on [email protected] and ask your questions. They have nothing on their site about any age restriction and you can find out where in your area you've got options to pick-up and return etc. They have offices in both CK and CB.
Hello, this company rent a car in CB as well: https://www.autopujcovna-cb.cz/ email: [email protected] and I did not find any restrictions about the age on their website.
Also, these ones are in CK https://translate.google.cz/translate?hl=cs&sl=cs&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Ftravelcar.cz (google translated webpage) and the email is: [email protected] (again there is no mention about the age restriciton).
Good luck.
I used rentalcars.com because my Czech friend had used them. I picked up the rental car in Brno and then toured south of there and made my way down towards the Austrian border and then up to Prague. It was very inexpensive for a small car and very easy to rent at Brno airport and I returned to Prague train station. They didn't have any age restrictions that I knew of when I rented. I think I paid $25 per day. We rented a GPS but ended up using mapy.cz more than the GPS in the car and it worked great.
