Brewery tours in Prague.

I am traveling with my 3 adult sons to Prague and we hope to visit and tour a brewery or two in Prague. I searched the forum and I did not find anything current. We are not interested in a tour or going to tour a brewery outside of the city. It does not have to be a huge operation either. Which breweries in Prague offer tours?

Thanks in advance for any local knowledge!

the only big brewery in Prague that offers Tours is Staroprammen and it has been a long time since I did a tour, from what I can gather it is now more of a visitor experience rather than an actual tour, but have a look.

this is a small brewery pretty near the centre, never done a tour but been for beer there many times.

this company organises tours to U Fleku and U Medvidku, but you can go to the upstairs brewery in U Medvidku and try their beers and you sit in the room where the beer is brewed stored and poured, I often pop in there for a few beers when I am in the city.

another link for beer tastings and tours but I don't think any of them actually do a brewery tour but have a look.

this is a link to loads of micro-breweries so have a look ,in many you will be sitting in the areas near to where the beer is produced and often see what is going on.Lod Pivovar mentioned is my new favourite place in the city, the down-stairs part you are actually sitting beside the brewing kettles, great food and superb beer.
for something a bit different try this.

not sure what pubs you will be taken into will probably vary from tour to tour but I know Jason that runs the tours very well and he knows his Prague pubs.if you look at some of the photos you just might see me there.
so lots of options and hopefully this has helped.
when are you visiting?

Thanks for the advice and recommendations. We are there in mid-May for a few days. We may head over to Plzen if the mood strikes us.

the Plzen tour is good ,I have done it numerous times and if you do go worth booking it on line as I have just turned up in the past hoping to get and early tour but having to get a later one.The brewery is about a 5 minute or so walk from the train station

there is a beer festival on when you are there and can be a great way of sampling lots of beers.I have attended quite a few of these festivals since their inception in 2008,not been to the last few as I have been busy elsewhere but might be worth your while spending an evening there. several trams from the city centre stop right outside where the festival is held, there is also a great Beer garden in Letna Park just a few minutes walk from where the beer festival is held, stunning views across the city and I spend a lot of time in this beer garden during the warmer weather, well even when it is not warm,I was there on new years day evening watching the fireworks and sinking a few from the Kiosk that opened just for that night.
