Does anyone have a favorite black light theater experience in Prague?
Were there any other theater or music venues that stood out on a visit to prague?
The black light theatres are all more or less the same.
Check out the opera or ballet at the National Theatre, the philharmonic at the Rudolfinum, and the Czech national symphonic at the Municipal House.
If you enjoy musicals or operetta, you can check the Karlin Musical Theater.
My Blacklight favourite is called "Best of Image" at the Image Theatre. It's a collection of the best bits of various performances. Don't sit at the front.
We will be in Prague in mid-September. Do we need to purchase black light theater tickets in advance or can we just decide day-of?
They are all pretty much the same...the only difference will be the size of the theaters.
The one that stands out from the rest is the one that is basically a black light nudie show! Unless that is your thing, make sure to read the descriptions to insure you don't end up at that one. :)
Unless it's something really specific that you want to see then it's OK to buy on the day. You can go to individual theatres and buy at their ticket offices or go to the Via Musica shop next to the Tyn Church on the Old Town Square where they'll tell you what performances are on and how many tickets are available etc. You'll pay a bit more for that service but it'll save you time.
