Best app for public transportation journey planning in Prague

Hi!
I am trying to see how long public transportation trips are between our destinations in Prague for planning purposes.
What do people use for a planning tool? The Prague Metro website (dpp.cz) doesn't seem to have a good journey planner. I can't say I want to go from my hotel and go to this restaurant without knowing the stops and line I want to use. I don't know!! That's why I need help planning the journey.

Other journey planners I've used say walk to this stop and get off on this stop and then walk to the restaurant.

I also tried the pid app but in the "use other modes of transportation", ie walking beta section, it won't let me set the time of day so consequently, it's trying to plan it for the night!

Google seems to give some odd answers so I'm not sure I trust it. If I plug the stops Google suggests into the dpp.cz planner, it gives me the error no connections available!

So help! What's the best planning tool?

I've used CityMapper (often mentioned and recommended here) in many European cities. In some cities the local transit authority has a good app that might be smarter to use, but for me there's something to be said for a familiar interface rather than having to adjust to a different one in each new city. I haven't been to Prague since I began to use CityMapper, so I can comment on its utility in that city.

We were in Prague in January and used Google maps for all public transport planning- they have up to date info.

Spent a month in Prague. Most of the time used a paper map of the transit system that we pulled out of a Rick Steves book. Otherwise, Google Maps worked just fine.

If you want the full-on "route planner that tells you about delays and closures" then try PID Litacka because that also tells you how much the fare should be for the trip. If you want a "lite" version then try PubTran. Have your location activated and all you have to worry about is the destination. It recognises Czech street names if when you use regular English text. Both give you options for metro/tram/bus and walking where required.
