Beer / Food Tour Ideas?

Looking for a tour of some of the local establishments that serve classic Czech beers and some history behind them. We used. www.tastelocalbeer.com/prague/ in the past but it looks as if they are not active any longer. (he was great). Thank you in advance.

I think the beer scene is changing pretty fast in Czechia, so it is pretty hard to recommend anything. When I was there, it was more the craft beer scene that was hot. When you look at Europe, Belgium has a great beer scene, the Netherlands not too bad, Germany? meh, lots of the same traditional beers, but Czechia is the wild west, with lots of innovation, craft brewers, and different brew styles.

I think the only thing you can do is lots of internet research, some on the ground exploring, and maybe some tours...but I think most of those are going to overlook the newest brewers.

https://www.livingpraguetours.com/tour/czech-food-and-beer-tasting/ have a look at this, only actually visit one place but very interesting and jason who runs the tours is a really nice guy.
not sure of many other food /Beer tours but have a look at this website https://www.praguebeergarden.com/pubs/category/beer-gardens , lots of places to try and you could make up your own tour, Daniel that runs the website also runs the Lya beer cafe which specilises in craft beers. from that webpage is a link to beer tastings and tours.

Hello from Wisconsin,

Here is a beer worth seeking out. velkopopovický kozel. Cerne, the dark version, is my wife's favorite beer, and she IS NOT a beer drinker. This brewery has been quite successful since Communism said good bye. We hope it will not to return soon. They are nervous. The brewery has now opened restaurants with this name, and even though it is a chain, if you don't have time to search out a local Czech place to eat, let me recommend their chain. It hurts me to recommend a chain.

Their pork knuckle is pure enjoyment and entertainment.

U Flecku. May have misspelled it, but we LOVED their beer. In fact, it was our favorite from our week in Prague and we were very unhappy because we didn’t go there until the end of our week. They do serve food-looked really good but we didn’t eat there as we had made other plans. Believe it’s one of the oldest breweries of the area. Great history, great building.

Just to add to Wayner. Excellent choice, also my favourite. The restaurant chain is called Kozlovna. And if you like that menu also look at Lokal.
