I've read that tickets in English to the Baroque theater are hard to get but does anyone know why when I search for tickets the week of September 11-17 the website says "no tours are scheduled for this week"? Can anyone recommend a good walking tour group in the town as well? Thank you
Precovid, we joined the free tour that starts around the TI center. I'm sure if you googled it, you'll find the times. It was a great tour and we tipped nicely.
When I look at a more detailed view like this:
https://weblist-npu.colosseum.eu/tours?mrsid=358&lang=en-GB
it appears that the theater tours are simply not being offered that week. They are available the weeks before and after. Perhaps staff vacations or theater repairs???
I searched. It looks like there is a Baroque Arts Festival from the 15-17 September. https://www.ckrumlov.info/en/topevents-111-the-cesky-krumlov-baroque-arts-festival/. Perhaps you can find something fun to do.
When we were there we took the Czech tour - our priority was to just get inside the theater, which is amazing. The docent gave us a handout in English, so we understood what we were seeing.
There are still tix available for the performances on 15th and 17th - a great opportunity to see the theater working.
