So many places to go, not enough time . . . Can you help?

My husband and I will travel to Austria and Czech Republic in early September. We will be in Vienna for 6 days and then will have 7 days (we travel back to the US on the 8th day), to travel and site see. On my list of places to see are the following: Wachau Valley, Salzburg, Innsbruck, Linz, Cesky Krumlov (was told to stay overnight here) and Prague (was told to allow 4 days here).

Please help narrow my scope, deletions of destinations are ok. I just don't know which ones are a "must see." Suggestions with transportation ideas from city to city would also be very helpful.
Thank you so very much!

We love Salzburg, Vienna, and Prague most of all. Don't delete them!!! They truly are must-sees. Prague really does require several days at least because it is wonderful and full of amazing surprises. Even if you just walk around the city, you will be delighted. Vienna is also a place to spend a lot of time but I would do the same with Salzburg and Prague. I have lived in those three cities at times and you can't go wrong. As for transport, I am a European train lover!
