Arrival into Prague and time of private driver

We will be arriving into Prague on Saturday from USA . Question is how long does it typically take to get through customs and it is a good idea to hire a driver to get to airbnb versus public transport because of luggage? Thank you

if coming direct from USA and not through any other country you will arrive at T1, in my experience it can take anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour to get through passport control , then pick up your bags , never been stopped at customs in 30 years of visiting Prague.

Use a taxi. It is convenient.

I believe Prague was among the easiest European airports I have ever gone through in 29 years of going to Europe. I was off my plane and met my driver within some 20 minutes, though we had to wait an additional 10 minutes for another passenger. I used the 24-hour Prague Airport Transfers (www.prague-airport-transfers.co.uk) to get into the city for a reasonable price. There are also bus, taxi and Uber options.

Just to note that the official airport taxi service is operated by Uber. You cannot order a non-airport Uber to the terminal but if you walk over to the Marriott you can use that as a pick-up point. Bus is only an option if you are out of the airport before 2130. I agree with the other comments and can personally say that 35 minutes is about what I expect to get from the plane to the arrivals terminal. Give the taxi driver your Airbnb address on a piece of paper so there's no "confusion".

I checked the timetable and the last Trolleybus 59 leaves the Airport Terminal 1 at 2332. The electrified trolleybus has now taken over the old Bus 119 route.
