Antique what????? You will need a very sharp eye. Fakes are rampant especially in Prague.
Frank - antique furniture; thanks for the warning - my husband knows antiques, but I will let him know about the risk of forgery.
Unclegus - thanks for the awesome link - very helpful!!

I will have a word with friends in Prague to see if they can suggest anywhere in particular for furniture.
I remember when i first visited the CR well over 20 years ago ,used to be loads of stalls in the streets selling stuff and i got an army officers watch, real ugly thing but facinationg and very cheap, lost it withing a couple of hours, think i left it on a table in a cafe.
Loads of shops selling fake military stuff these days but there is one good shop near the bottom of Wenseslas square that does real ex military stuff.
Laura, since you are going to Budapest too, then the answer to your question for Budapest is a street named Falk Miska utca, near the Parliament Building. A dozen great shops http://visitbudapest.travel/local-secrets/falk-miksa-street/
