Advice re train travel from Prague to Berlin please

We will be in Prague for a couple of days in mid-October and will then travel to Berlin.
We would like to travel by train from Prague to Berlin.
When looking online, I am confused by all of the options.
I see Czech Rail, Regiojet, Eurocity, Deutsche Bahn plus others.
I would love some advice about the best way to go!
Thanks in advance for any guidance or insight about the various options.

They all run on the same tracks and many are just different names for the same trains.
Eurocity trains are trains that run between different countries. In Czechia, they have a Czech Rail crew. When they cross into Germany, the Deutsche Bahn crew takes over.

Cheapest ticket will be from www.cd.cz

Regiojet is a private operator that runs trains to Budapest and some other destinations. They do not run trains to Berlin, but they do run buses.

Thank you so much for the quick and helpful reply.

Do the trains tend to sell out and it would be advisable to buy our tickets in advance?

Much appreciated.

If you look at the Deutsche Bahn site, https://int.bahn.de/en, it will show the expected occupancy for each train. There are EC trains to Berlin every 2 hours from 6;28 am until 4:28 pm, then an Austrian Railjet train at 5:31 pm, then a couple of night trains later.

These trains don't sell out, but they can get crowded, so buying a seat reservation can be a good idea.

We took this train route in May. In our experience, indeed the cheapest ticket will be from www.cd.cz

I would advise to purchase your ticket now through the Czech train site. Also, seat reservations are free on the Czech system.

Do consider stopping off in Dresden to see the spectacular palaces there.
