First time to Prague and would like to take a bus tour on Day 1 to get the lay of the land. Any suggestions?

Prague is a better place for walking tours, especially in the old town. For a do-it-yourself drive-by, Rick's book discusses taking Tram #22 on a cross-river ride, from the new town around Narodni Trida to the Strahov Monastery (Pohorolec stop) and the castle. You'll also see a variety of tourist-only transportation offered in the old town, from tiny trains to horse carts to vintage cars to Segway scooters.
