Hi , We will be in Prague this June and It wil be our first time . There are 4 of us ( adults) . I read that the Old town is a better area to stay . I would appreciate any recommendations. Not sure what the weather will be like in June .if it is hot, probably an accomodation with airconditioning? Thanks a lot
I think that with 4 people you would prefer to stay in an apartment. Here are some useful websites to look at:

I usually stay in private accommodation on the second floor of a family house. No luxury but I like location (quiet neighborhood) and price. It's about 10 minutes by Metro to the center.
We rented a fantastic apartment in October 2012 from Arcadia Old Town Apartments. We had an enormous one bedroom...it was at least 1000 square feet, with high ceilings, modern kitchen and bathroom. It was $190 per night and came with a delivered hot breakfast each morning. It was brought in on a cart and laid out for us and it was perfect. The apartment was just around the corner from the Clock. They have larger units as well and the company is well-run and English is spoken. They also arranged airport transport for us at a very low price.
Look on Craigslist.com to the international section. You should find a bunch of apartments for rent in Prague.
AirBnB.com is another great place to look for apartments and rooms in virtually every location in the world.
We (family of 4) rented an apartment through Lida Janska (RS book) and it worked great. It was new, clean and close to the Jewish Quarters. BUT it was on the 3rd floor and no elevator.
BUT, if you do decide to stay in a Hotel, then look at the Ventana Hotel in Old Town. This little boutique hotel is among the best hotels we have stayed at in a decade of traveling in Europe. Of course that was almost 4 years ago and ........?? The service was amazing, the rooms more amazing, the location was absolutely drop dead perfect and the cost was............ well................ at least we got what we paid for.
