Is there regular train service between Zagreb and Budapest?
When I did some initial planning for an April / May 2024 trip I thought it was possible to choose between various train departures from Zagreb to Budapest - some around 5hrs, some around 11hrs. When I google the subject, a number of travel websites say there are between 5 and 9 regular trains between the two cities.
But when looking "seriously" about buying a ticket, the online services I use - Trainline.com, Rome2Rio.com, RailEurope.com - are showing only one train between the two cities (departing at 4:30pm arriving in at 9:30pm). "Plan B" would be to take a FlixBus, but... train would be the preferred option. Any advice / assistance would be much appreciated!
