We will be in Zagreb in April, arriving on the 6th and departing on the 9th. I'm looking for a mid-range hotel room for 2, ideally in the Upper Town, Kaptol, or Lower Town. We aren't interested in any international chain hotels, staying in a nice family run hotel or B & B would be ideal.

We always stay at the Hilton Canopy. Very young Vibe. They have bikes you can use, great restaurant, and just steps away from a movie theatre. They don’t dubbed their movies. Sometimes if we aren’t tired we pop in.
Also the Esplanade is down the street, a great, old world, hotel. We used to stay there but we have Hilton points so….

I highly recommend Hotel Jagerhorn, too. Very conveniently located. Delicious breakfast. Helpful staff.

I’ve stayed at Jagerhorn twice. It’s nice, with very helpful staff, 24hr front desk, nice breakfast, quiet and with a primo location (there’s stairs from the breakfast area to Kaptol.) I will say the rooms are kinda small and it feels a little pricey, but I would happily stay there again.
