I’ve been reading that ZAGREB has great cafes. What is everyone favorite. I do enjoy a good cup of tea, bonus if they serve that.
I’ve been to Zagreb about 20 times. I’ve never heard or been told that the city is famous for its cafes.
We spent 10 days in Zagreb a couple of summers ago and loved the food there! There is one street in particular that is lined with cafes. We tried many of them and never had a bad meal! I can't remember what the street is called but it's quite famous and easily Googled...
Anita is thinking of Tkalčićeva Street. The street itself is beautiful, but the restaurants are not great - very touristy. I think when you say "cafe" what you really mean is restaurants with outdoor seating.
One of my favorite streets for good food is ul. Nikole Tesle. Check out Vinodol, Carpaccio, Boban, and Vodnjanka (nearby and very good).
We always eat at Vinodol in Zagreb on our yearly trip to Croatia. My husband always gets the schnitzel even though it isn’t on the menu. Just ask, they have never said no.
