We will be driving north along the coast north from Split to Istria tomorrow. We are thing of staying in Zadar. Any hotel/sobe recoomendations? Or any other recommendations of othe towns to stay or stop? Thank you.

We have not been to Zadar but I know that people on this forum have recommended it as a place to stay. We made that drive a couple of years ago (our destination was Rovinj) and we stopped for 2 nights in Lovran. It's a small town that is part of a string of villages along the Opatija Riviera. We enjoyed a couple of excellent meals there, the seaside walkway that goes all the way to Opatija, and loved the hotel - Hotel Villa-Vera.
The drive is about 7 hours from Split--maybe longer than you'd prefer to drive in a day.
You'll love travel in Croatia!

We ended up staying at Andrea's apartments and rooms in the old town. Great place- very quiet and clean with a view of some Roman ruins. Free parking and a close walk to the old town and sea organ. Would stay there again, for sure.
