Wine Tasting in Dubrovnik

We were in Croatia the last week of October and decided we wanted to go wine tasting. Using Rick's suggestion, we contacted Sasha from D'vino Wines in old town. Sasha got back to us immediately and outlined our itinerary by starting with "there isn't one :)" except that we would visit 3-4 wineries and that lunch would be included All we can say is that the day spent with Sasha and 3 other people was one of the highlights of our visit. Sasha has a huge personality and his knowledge of the area, the wineries, the owners, etc. was immense. The winery owners were warm and welcoming, included snacks such as cured meats, cheeses, bread, and their own olive oil , taught us about the wines they produce, and poured HEALTHY tastings. Mid-day we stopped in a small town and had lunch at a tiny restaurant that served the national dish, peka. Between the lamb & veal peka, meats, cheeses, fresh baked bread, cherry brandy, and wines, I don't know how we made it to the 3rd winery. We ended the day by stopping in Ston for fresh oysters, and more wine. We were with this group of "friends" until 7PM. Pick-up and drop-off at your hotel is included.
We have been using Rick Steve guides for years and have used many of his suggestions, but this one, by far, was the best. If you enjoy wine or just want to learn more about it, Sasha and this tour will give you an amazing day to remember.

This sounds like a wonderful wine tasting and something we would be interested in doing. What is the contact information for Sasha? What is the cost? Did you make the reservation at the last minute? We will be in Dubrovnik with another couple for 3 nights in April, which is shoulder season, so I assume we could contact him when we arrive??
Thank you,
Karen

Hi Karen,
It was 120 euros per person for 3 or more people, 150 euros per person for 2 people. Except to purchase wine, we paid for nothing else that day. I would reach out to Sasha at any time and ask him how early you should book. We actually reached out to him 2 days before. His e-mail address is sasha@dvino.net. He also has a website https://www.dvino.net/index.html. You'll really have a day to remember.

Enjoy your trip!
Mary
