Where to Go on the Croatian Coast

travel tips from NY Times (valid 14 days) - Where to Go on the Croatian Coast

Tips for first-time visitors to the cities, islands and stunning coastline of one of Europe’s most beguiling summer destinations.
The guide below, which is broken into regions centered around city hubs, has information on where to hike, bike, sail, eat and drink your way down the Adriatic. But, as Croatians say: “Pomalo.” Slowly. No need to stuff all the cliffs-meet-the-sea photo ops and magnetic Mediterranean culture into one go. You’ll be back.

I found the following sentence very amusing

Find solitude on the frequently passed-over islands of Krk, Cres,
Losinj and Rab.

You’re unlikely to meet many Americans there, but between June and September the islands are full of tourists from Italy, Germany, Austria, Slovenia and other European countries.
I myself am in love with Losinj.

True, true, but still, compared to Split and Dubrovnik I think it’s sound advice. I did like the way they organized the article, choosing city/village and nearby island group is a nice way to sketch out a plan, versus trying to see it all. I agree about Losinj!
