Hello,
I am traveling to Croatia in October; Rovinj and Plitvice October 10-13 and Split and Dubrovnik October 14-19. Any advice on the weather and if this is a good time to travel is greatly appreciated.
Thank you
A little late in the year for my taste in Croatia. I went last September and sort of wish I had gone earlier or waited till this year. But all depends on why you are going and what you want to do. Everyone is different. October is 54F to 68F on average mid month. So its not unreasonable to expect a 5F above or below that. That pretty much rules out the beach or water sports, maybe the top deck of the ferry to one of the islands will be a bit too cool to be on. Good side is maybe fewer ships at Dubrovnik. I love Dubrovnik. Not a bad time for Sarajevo or Mostar, or Zabljak or the high country of Montenegro. Sure, cooler more, but doesnt affect high country activities. Also a pretty ideal time to be in Central Europe from Prague down to Budapest.
