Walking tour private guide

Hi, we are a group of 4 coming for 3 weeks in May, we will be doing walking tours in most of or city stops but thought it would be nice to do a private one in either Split or Dubrovnik. Looking for recommendations on people you have used and enjoyed. Also approximate cost. Thank you

hey hey redkmck
here's a couple sites to check out if interested:
gpsmycity.com
dubrovnik and split. you will need to download the app, see what tours are offered and if you like.
we had a cruise stop in split years ago before croatia became so overwhelming with tourists, it's life. sat on the pier having wine and people watching the beautiful church, small farmers market behind church, a pretty town
cvityapptour.com/ split
guruwalk.com
search both split & dubrovnik. on left click english, activity "all". will show you free tours and guided tours. take your pick
some cities we have hired a private taxi for tours. just emailed them for info & cost (what we wanted or offered an itinerary they felt we'd like), is it per person or car load.
dubrovnikrivieratours.com
tourdesksplit.com
just a few ideas for you to do research and hope something makes you happy. good luck

Croatia has become a huge tourist destination so I imagine there are tour guides in abundance. Here is one I hsve used anf was impressed enough to feel safe recommending her. I think there might be a review of her in the forum if you do a search. Anyway, Nera Pavlovic

And i think a guide is a good idea. So much about what is special about Dubrovnik is buried beneath the surface and a guide helps bring it to life and increase the value of the visit. Otherwise you are in tourist Disneyland.
Nera, a local all of her life, knows where to look. And she's pretty great with kids for anyone benefitting from that. If she is busy, I have a Plan B.
