Walking tour in Split of Diocletian's Palace

Has anyone used a tour company for a guided tour of Diocletian's Palace. If so, would you recommend a company or person, Please?

I roughly followed the tour outlined in Rick's Croatia & Slovenia guidebook. That was sufficient for me, but I believe that his book lists some information about organizations offering palace tours.

We had a private tour with Maja Benzon, who charged us $80 for 3 - 4 hours. She's very knowledgeable and interesting. We liked her a lot, and thought the price was an excellent value. You can find her by googling her name.

Thank you Rosalyn. I got the impression from Rick's book that she charged much more. I will definitely contact her.

In May 2014 I did what used to be the "one penny" walking tour (http://www.splitwalkingtour.com/) but now costs 12 Euros. (Even last year it cost more than a penny, maybe a couple of Euros; I'm not sure why it has suddenly gone up in price so drastically). It gave a good overview and orientation. Even at the new price, I'd say it's probably worthwhile. As I recall, there was at least one other option available, but it could be this company destroyed the competition (and that's why they raised their rates... I honestly don't know).

It's certainly not the same as a private tour, but they did limit the group size. I got there early and was able to join a tour within the hour; people arriving later were having to wait several hours as they were getting booked fairly quickly. The tour guide was knowledgeable and personable, and the staff was friendly.
