Venezialines Ferry Venice to Croatia not operating?

Tried to use my usual Venice to Rovinj ferry route only to find the website unresponsive. So flew to Pula instead. On arrival the dock was empty where the ferry usually moors overnight. The closest travel agency said that he was still in shock as it seems to have collapsed. Various rumours later, including an accident to one of the ships broken loose in a storm. no one seems to know. The ferry may appear one day and the website may spring to life and open booking dates, but for now zilch.
There is another line called Atals or Kompas Atlas that runs ferries on this route, but less often and in a different catamaran design. Also fast, costs about E80 one way. If anyone hears more, please post. This was the fastest and most pleasant way to reach Croatia from V Venice or vie versa. But Rovinj is still full, so there are other ways....swifts and martins fly minnow.

Venezialines is definitely out of business. Their agent in Rovinj said it was something to do with the costs of repairing the aluminum hulls on boats built in Tasmania. The end of an era.

There is an alternative - a company called Adriatic Lines Google that and look for their rates to Rovinj. Porec and Pula and take your pick. Their own site is simpler than others.

The schedule is the same, leaving Venice at 17.00 and reaching Rovinj three hours later.
Unfortunately they do not run every day to all these places as they only have one boat.
But the website is very clear and shows increased frequency of sailings to Rovinj from two times a week now to three times a week by June 26th. At 79 Euro per person it is the same or cheaper than VEnezialines.
So you can get here from there, just not every day of the week.
Ignore the Venezialines website and info. It will not let you book anyway. They were a good company with good boats.
Pozdrav iz Rovinja!
