US citizens at Croatia border

Just curious if anyone has heard of Croatian border patrol turning away Americans at the border. Seems like Croatia is opening up rapidly, but someone mentioned that Americans are being turned away at border and only EU residents are being allowed in? Any truth to this at all? I have not seen anything online regarding this and thought it strange.

I have 4 days in Croatia planned this summer and can't wait!

Where what source did someone mention Americans are being turned away? Summer is a ways away and with this COVID thing the rules are always changing travel wise.

My husband reads the Croatian newspaper everyday on line. He would have mentioned this because he is going May 5 and i am going June 6. Haven’t seen or heard this news.

Croatia is one of the European countries that has been generous with allowing US citizens enter throughout the pandemic. They need US tourists. Your “someone” is very misinformed.

Thanks, all. This is what I expected- that if Croatia were indeed doing this, it would be well-known and documented. Perhaps there have been a few routine instances where US citizens didn't have proper paperwork, documentation, etc. and turned away, and this is what my source meant.

There is no problem at main border crossings. There are some very small border crossings that are only for citizens of EU.
