Unforgettable Travel

We combined a small boat cruise with great ideas from the tour books for Croatia and Slovania.
The boat trip was from Split to Dubrovnik. We visited some of the great islands and wineries.
Weather reduced our itinerary and we missed some valued stops. We did sea lots and enjoyed a boat with only 31 passengers. In these COVID times we felt safe and secure.
The ship was the MARKAN. Great captain and crew.
We drove from Zagreb to Ljubljana and then down to the coast and visited Pula, Rovinj, and Zadar before arriving in Split for our cruise.
I completed understand why Rovinj is a highlight and Dubrovnik is the Pearl but don't discount Pula or Zadar.
Great wines too the Poslip is a very nice white as well as the Plavac Mali.
I tasted from different wineries but focased on Grgic Vina. It is Mike Grgic homeland winery. He is famous for his Napa Valley Grgich Hills winery.
Delicious.

Which company did you cruise with? We were scheduled for Katerina-line and it was cancelled in late August so we just used the ferry system to get around. Already had our plane tickets. We still want to go on a cruise, looking for next June.

Great to hear--people are often asking about travel at this time of year--was the trip in September-October?

I also just did a small boat cruise, Dubrovnik to Split, Sept. 25-October 2. We absolutely loved it! There were 14 people on the boat and near perfect weather. Swam every day, low crowds on the islands. It was the first week of 31 days in Croatia and Slovenia and perfectly relaxing way to start the trip. I'll do a proper trip report, just wanted to say hi.
