We are going on a bike trip soon and will need a place to stay in Dubrovnik for two nights before we travel to split. Any reasonable accommodation suggestions?

Reasonable can be many things, but I recently stayed in Apartments Amorozzo in the old city and liked it. But you can most likely find cheaper places outside the city walls.

In 2014, I stayed at the Pension Stankovich, also on a bike trip through the Balkans. It sits atop the hill with a grand view directly down onto the Old City and the Adriatic, about a ten-minute walk away via a long series of stone steps. Ask for Bedroom "A" or "B", both of which have a balcony and a table and chairs for dining. There's also a garage in which to leave the bikes overnight. The sunsets over the Adriatic are stunning.
When I arrived quite tired in the late afternoon, my host asked if I would like a snack, which no hungry cyclist would ever turn down. The "snack" was almost a full-size dinner with desert and beer, for which I was not charged. Two brothers and their mother ran the place at the time, and the hospitality was grand.
