We will be renting a car in Milan and driving around Slovenia this June. I need to return it to Trieste to avoid the expense of dropping off in another country. Does anyone have any suggestions as to the best way to travel from Trieste to the Istria Peninsula for the next part of our journey? I want to do this as quickly as possible and bus transportation is not an option for us. Thank you for your help.
A trusted transfer that I have used a few times is www.goopti.com

I was just looking at that same option. There is a bus from Trieste to Pula. Very inexpensive and looks like it goes pretty regularly. Sorry I just saw you said no bus. Is it possible to take a taxi?
Buses are pretty efficient and comfortable in that region. Is there a specicfic reason you don't want a bus? It's not at all like buses in the US.
