RS guidebook says that nothing much is open before May in Croatia. I am not looking for beach vacation although I would like to see some of the coast. Has anyone traveled in Croatia during April? If so, please share your experience.

Hi Emily, I am wide open. We will have a car and like to wander. It seems to be a small enough country to cover a lot of territory since we will have 3 3/4 weeks. Best I can say is Dubrovnik to Zagreb but would not rule out a sojourn into Slovenia as well. I spent just a few days on the Istrian peninsula (Buzet with day trips) in the fall and time permitting, would return to see more.
Do you have ideas as to what is best in April?
