We will start a tour in Dubrovnik. Besides air flight, is there any other way to travel there anyone can recommend? Ferry?
I would look into flying. The ferry from Rijeka alone is hours long. This would be the closest port to Venice.
The jadrolinija ferry, when we took it years ago, was 23 hours. That’s because of all the stops it makes. Your only other option would be to take the train. You have to transfer.
There is no direct ferry from Venice to Dubrovnik that I’ve heard of.
Thanks, sounds like I will be looking into a flight.
This is not an easy or direct transfer. Here is a link that lists several options for you.

Carol, thanks for that site. I was not familiar with it and will keep it for future reference. Rick Steves’ travelers are so smart! Really appreciate it.
When using Rome2Rio, it's critical to keep drilling down until you find the name of the company offering the service, then go to its website for current information on schedules and fares. Rome2Rio is usually accurate as to what sort of service is available, but I've seen it be wildly off-base about the details (travel time, frequency and fares). It's handy when you can't get where you want to go by just using trains, though.
Rome2Rio is great when trying to manage on your own. However, we didn't have a lot of time in order to get from Venice to Dubrovnik in that way. So we took a shuttle service company to Dubrovnik, their price was reasonable. Anyway, this is a very long journey, did you consider to take a flight from Venice to Dubrovnik?
I have booked a flight from Venice to Dubrovnik. I appreciate everyone’s advice.
I think the main way between the two is to fly via Zagreb or Rome.
