Travel from USA to Croatia with layover in AMS & MAD

Hello - Any US citizens with recent experience with transit at AMS and MAD? We're traveling from USA to Zagreb Croatia with layovers in Amsterdam and Madrid on Jun 11, 2021. We are fully vaccinated. Really confusing info online about transit requirements at AMS. Some sites say transit is allowed with negative Covid test and remaining at airport, other sites say Netherlands not allowing passengers to connect through the Netherlands to countries such as Spain and Croatia. Help!

Wow. That is a lot to take on.

Things change regularly and I don’t think you should be taking advice here on the forum. That being said, here is what is on Schipol’s website today and it doesn’t read optimistically to me (nor does it seem confusing).

I would have a heart to heart with your airline. You may need to either change flights or cross your fingers something changes in the next couple of weeks (would not be my preference).

I am headed to Dubrovnic in September, but opted for United’s direct flights from EWR.

Edit* Then there is this. https://www.netherlandsworldwide.nl/travel/visas-for-the-netherlands/qas-visas-for-the-netherlands/qas-travel-restrictions-for-the-netherlands
Call the airline and make sure they will let you board and with what documentation.

We are flying June 12-26 from Portland to Croatia. Our connecting flight is thru Amsterdam both ways. I’m getting conflicting information as to weather or not connections thru Amsterdam are allowed. Can anyone clear up for me please?

I read on Facebook from adventure with Sarah. If you are on FB, look it up. She is a RS guide and left this week from seattle to AMS via delta then on to Croatia. She did not have to show proof of test . She thought it was strange. Go look it up! Very interesting

any update on this from anyone? i have a flight to Split from US connecting in Schiphol and KLM cannot give me a clear answer on whether I will be able to transit the airport?

The Schiphol website itself has multiple pages that seem to contradict each other and the US embassy in Netherlands website says you are allowed to transit Schiphol from a US incoming flight to inter-EU flight as long as you stay in transfer area of airport.

Very concerning KLM can't give me a 100%, zero doubt answer on whether I can transfer through their HQ airport
