My wife and I will be in Rovinj Croatia on May 8,2023. We plan on going to Venice Italy. Can anyone recommend a bus service that will take us to the Venice bus station? I have tried Rome2Rio website. Their site has a schedule for May 9th which is ideal, unfortunately, we are unable to continue the booking process stating that " no busses found" Is this because we are too far in advance? Thank you

Your posting is a bit confusing.
Are you asking if there is bus service from Rovinj to Venice? That’s nearly 170 miles. Not a short distance.

Correct. we will be in Croatia for 10 days ending in the Istria peninsula, from there we plan on heading into
Italy. with our first stop Venice.

There are catamarans that go from Rovinj to Venice, I think it takes about 3.5 hours. Go to Croatiaferries.com and on the left click on ferries to/from mainland. There is a Croatian line and Venetian line. They start at 7:00 am.

The difference in price between the two lines is only about $7 so pick one depending on the time best for you.

Another vote for the highly recommended GoOpti transfer. We found them to be affordable, comfortable and reliable. We would definitely use this service again. Enjoy Croatia & Venice!

I just rechecked and there is only one ferry on Monday and none on Tuesday which you need. Sorry I didn’t really read your post. And yes, it might be too early. Most Croatians travel by bus, as we have, and they are fine. Plug in a Tuesday in feb or March to get a price pp to compare with goopti.

You might be too early. Or it might not run everyday. Looking at schedules through Rome 2 Rio the next two weeks there is bus service from Rovinj to Venice leaving 12:45 arriving 17:55 but only Thursdays and Saturdays The bus company is Flixbus. We used them in Italy, Slovenia and Croatia but not on that route. Were nice new coach buses. Very comfortable. Easy to book online. If you have to go on May 8 you might consider looking at alternatives in two segments, for example Rovinj to Trieste and then Trieste to Venice. You might do in one day or make the connection city an overnight.
