Transportation from Dubrovnik to Split

What is the best (fastest/scenic/inexpensive) way to go from Dubrovnik to Split at the end of May? It does not seem like many ferries are running...also, are there any interesting towns to visit along the way?

The bus. Comfortable, takes approx. 4 hours with one (scenic) rest stop along the way.

The daily Krilo catamaran departs at 16.30 from 8 April onwards - it arrives in Split at 20.55. This is the same as peak season.

The bus takes about the same time as the catamaran, but runs more regularly throughout the day.

Be SURE that you sit on the LEFT side (driver's side) of the bus going Dubrovnik to Split. The fabulous scenery of the sea coast is on the left side. If you take the bus, you'll need to line up when the bus driver opens the bus, to check your luggage with the driver and give him a small amount of $ to pay to have your luggage stowed. However... I left my luggage on the curb for moment and went onto the bus to put my coat down on a coast-side window seat, before going back outside to check my luggage. Just sayin....

Thank you! Should we take the ferry does it stop in Hvar? Would like to stay there two nights (is that too much?
) and do inexpensive boating day trips from there to see islands and Blue Cave.
