Transportation from DBV to Valamar Argosy Hotel

I am a mature ( as in older) female flying alone to meet up with my tour group the next day. Since I booked late, the tour is not picking me up at the airport and I have no idea what the safest way would be to get to the hotel. Needless to say that has me on edge. If isomebody has used a driver or service that could be recommended I would greatly appreciate it. In addition I will have some down time in Dubrovnik and would like to take a private tour to places not on my itinerary. I have found in prior trips that those tours are always a highlight. It could be the same company or person that picks me up at the airport or not. This site has always given me winners so once again I am asking for help. Thanks.

Your hotel is in Babin Kuk which isn’t too far from Old Town but not walkable. You can contact Krilo.hr, they do airport transfers (we’ve used them many times). Or you can hire a taxi at the airport, not outrageously expensive compared to other cities.

I didn’t know it was in Bañón KUK. The address I have is IVA Dulcica 140 20000. Is that right.?Very hard to find an address on the site? Thanks Barbara.

Their website is Valamar.com. This question/answer was under their FAQ - What is the transfer charge?
Please contact our Reservation Centre for the price of transfers. Maybe this might be your best bet to get from the airport.

Thank you for response. I did check out Krilo.hr is not a taxi service but a catamaran company. Do you have a different email or website for the taxi service?

We have used Krilo.hr for transfers from Dubrovnik to Orebic to catch the ferry to Korcula. Maybe they changed their business model. You can book a taxi from the airport through booking.com. Did you contact the hotel about a pick up?

Thanks for keeping up with me Barbara. Much appreciated. I did try the hotel as you suggested but the only way to contact them for a transport is through their phone number and quite frankly I don’t want to pay for a phone call to Croatia. Other people have advised me to just take a taxi from the airport and unless you tell me that’s a bad idea I think that’s what I’m going to do. This can’t be as big a deal as I am making it.

Barbara thanks so much for the idea of booking.com. I never thought of that even though I have used them for booking bed-and-breakfast. I did book the transport with them and they make this really easy. Once again thanks for sticking with me.

No problem, I’m not good at traveling alone so I understand you want to have things in place before you leave. Enjoy your trip.
