Transportation between Vis and Hvar

Hello all,

In the summer I realize that the ferry from Hvar/Vis only runs once a week on tuesdays. With how our 12 day itinerary works out we are hoping to travel from Hvar to Vis on a Monday. I have emailed a couple of private transfer companies without much luck on a response so hoping someone has some onsite on if there are ways to get between the islands on ferry off days without having to ferry to Split only to jump back on a ferry to Vis. We would like to book lodging sooner rather than later.

If you have checked Krilo and Jadrolinija, I believe those are the only companies plying this route. If you cannot change the dates, I have seen some people mention doing an excursion where they get dropped off. It’s off season now, so you can probably get a response closer to the trip. The private transfer could be pretty pricey, so if you want to post your itinerary, we can attempt to make suggestions to tweak it.
Otherwise, at least the scenery is nice if you have to backtrack. If they made every island accessible every day, it would not be economically feasible and probably make them less pleasant too.
