Will be taking the ferry from Bari Italy to Dubrovnik in May 2020. We wish to travel south into Montenegro and then come back to Dubrovnik.
My question is would it be better to rent a car at the ferry terminal in Dubrovnik or take the bus to Herceg-Novi and rent the car in Montenegro. Then return the car in Herceg-novi and take the bus back to Dubrovnik.
I am concerned with the border crossing as well as the fees, if any, to take the car into Montenegro. Also not real sold on the reputation of the car rental companies. Any suggestions regarding rental companies and which strategy would work best will be appreciated.
