Hello! I need some logistical transportation advice.
We fly in and out of Venice, back to our hometown in Canada (Vancouver), so that we can easily reach Trieste at the start of our Croatian bike tour. From Trieste, we explore the Istrian peninsula and end in Rovinj.
After our bike trip, we want to enjoy all that Croatia has to offer for about 8 days and would primarily like to rest and relax in peace on an island (Korcula or another island) and also see Dubrovnik.
We were thinking about renting a car in Pula from Avax Rental. However, based on reading other comments, hiring a car may not be necessary. That’s a question for another post.
My bigger challenge:
I’m trying to figure out the best, most efficient way to return to Venice to make our flight home.
- Flights from Dubrovnik to Venice are not convenient (stopovers in Belgrade and long).
- Drive back to Pula to take the Adriatic ferry?
- Other options? Is transport to Venice easier from Zagreb? Zagreb is not on our list this time.
