We fly into Dubrovnik on April 25th and have a little over 3 weeks for Croatia, Slovenia and trip into Bosnia to Sarajevo and Mostar. We know we are very early in the season. Are there any tours out of Dubrovnik that would take us out to the Dalmatian islands north of Dubrovnik? So far, Korcula and Mljet look the most interesting.
We are not beach people - mostly interested in natural beauty, culture and food. We are women in our 60's who do not get around as easily as we used to. After the islands, we will be renting a car for the rest of our time in Croatia and Bosnia, returning it to Zagreb, travelling to Ljubljana and eventually home from there.
Any thoughts of an easy way to get a sense of the islands without either taking the car on a ferry or getting around the islands on public transport?
