We just returned from a wonderful trip to Slovenia/Croatia with Odysseys-Unlimited. We had 3 days on our own in Dubrovnik as a post trip. I booked 2different day trips with Cheap Dubrovnik Tours. One was a full day to Bosnia and the other a full day to Montenegro. They answered my e-mails promptly, and the guides were very knowledgeable. It was just the two of us, but they have tours for larger groups too. You pay at the end of the tour. We were very happy with them and recommend them. www.cheapdubrovniktours.com
I agree with your recommendation, they are one of our best tour companies.
My friend and I also booked day trips to Mostar and Montenegro with Cheap Dubrovnik Tours based on the numerous positive reviews of this company. Andro responded immediately to email communications and our need for clarifications and expectations. Our guides, Dino and Zoran, were fantastic, providing historical information about the area in which we traveled and stories of the area which were fun and informative. I am grateful to Andro and Dino for helping us at the last minute adjust a tour to accommodate our transportation need to reach our next city. I STRONGLY recommend this company
My parents and I live by Rick Steves while vacationing in Europe, but when our guide to Montenegro canceled the night before, we were thrown for a loop. We cannot begin to praise Andro (the manager) or Cheap Dubrovnik Tours enough. We found Cheap Dubrovnik Tours through TripAdvisor and contacted Andro the night before we wished to go to Montenegro, figuring that it was a long shot. He replied within 10 minutes and managed to rearrange things to fit the three of us into his schedule for a private tour.
The actual day excursion was fabulous (and a great price)! A Montenegrin native, Andro was able to provide us with unique and personal (but objective!) perspectives on everything. He's a font of knowledge (about everything!!) and extremely personable as well. He also allowed us to personalize our day and choose where we wished to focus our time, although he was also willing to provide his own suggestions. As a result, we got to try a few restaurants for breakfast and lunch that we would have missed otherwise. He picked us up promptly at 7 am, which was his suggestion in order to avoid the long lines at the border, and we breezed through the border. I wish that we had the time to do another day trip with him and that he'd been in Rick Steves' book from the start!
