The highly recommended guide Sara Cerri and I
viewed the beam of light coming in through the ceiling of The Duomo in Milan last Tuesday. It was about 1:20 in the afternoon and the beam moved very rapidly and crossed the gold line on the floor of the Duomo between the Zodiac signs of Gemini and Cancer.
In the RSE guide to Milan, Rick is dismissive of this cool, and apparently little known, feature of The Duomo. Many feet came in the door, blocking the beam, not knowing what was taking place right under them! Sara and I were delighted and happy. We had a singular experience that the hordes of tourists missed that day.
