Swimming in Croatia in September?

Hello, fellow travellers-

My husband and I are going to be in Croatia around September 26th for a few days. Is the water still going to be warm enough to enjoy going for a swim?

I appreciate any input!

I was in Split in the first week of Oct 2021. It was fine to swim.

It probably will be fine, as long as you have some tolerance for cool water. We swam in the Adriatic at Piran, in Slovenia, in mid-September a few years ago. This was a few days after hiking in the Julian Alps in a snowstorm. I was impressed with how beautifully clear and clean the water was. We probably spent 30 minutes in the water, it was so nice.

I swam near Korćula last week of August and am now a bit south in Montenegro - and it is still wonderful swimming weather. In 2021, end of Sept. was still doable for me but getting chillier. :)
