Does anyone have any recommendations for staying on or near the Peljesac Peninsula in early September? We are thinking of renting a car in Split and driving to Dubrovnik. We have two days and are wondering where the best place to set up home base might be? Thanks!

I have only passed through, but I long to return and stay a while, as the scenery is so beautiful and the seafood is supposed to be great. Do you prefer to stay in a town where you can walk to dinner or somewhere remote?
I would think Ston would be your best bet. I have never noticed much in guide books, but there is plenty online about the area.

We stayed in Mali Ston. I don’t remember the hotel but it is across the street from the rather nice restaurant in town. This may be the only hotel in town. PM me if you want me to find the name.
The ramparts walk in Ston is definitely worth a few hours. There are some beautiful wineries on the peninsula.
