We’re a family group of 8 and will be in Split staying near the Diocletian palace and interested in a tour guide for us to tour the palace and it’s history.

There are free walking tours available if you don't mind being part of a larger group.
If you're looking for a private guide for your family, I am sure someone else on here can help. Sorry I cannot, as I did the free tour.

We hired Maja Benzon who is recommended by Rick. In fact, she is in one of his shows on Croatia. I highly recommend her for a private guided tour of Old Town and Diocletian's Palace. The walking tour is 2 hours long, and in 2019 she charged 500 kunas for 2 people. Well worth it!

I'm going to Split in July too!! I've heard that taking a boat trip out to the local islands is a great thing to do.
