Dont know how you are doing on the tour guides. Nera is great in Dubrovnik, but given you are looking for Split, Dubrovnik and Kotor you might do better with Dijana for all three, and the stops in between and the transfers from one to the other. There is a lot to see between each and having one person plan it all so you dont miss anything has real value.

An earlier posting on this forum from 2018 favorably reviewed a Split, Croatia, local guide named Pero Ugarkovic. My wife and I wish to second that praise for one of the best guides we have ever encountered anywhere on our travels around the world.

We first encountered Mr. Ugarkovic as a guide to the region around Split in 2015; and we have just returned from another trip to Croatia, during which we used his guide services once again.

Mr. Ugarkovic has extensive knowledge of general Balkan history as well as of specifically Croatian history, culture and sites of special visitor interest. He is informed on current affairs in the nations of the former Yugoslavia as well as on the region's long history back to pre-Roman times.

He also has excellent English language skills; great personal relations skills and a wry sense of humor.

Mr. Ugarkovic is also a marine scientist, with extensive environmental knowledge that informs his commentary.
