Looking for easy way to get to Rijeka from Split. I saw a ferry but it does not seem to be operating.

For the past couple of years there has been a question mark over whether the Rijeka-Dubrovnik ferry will run, that is only finalised late in the day.
This article http://dalje.com/en-croatia/jadrolinija-to-operate-ferry-between-rijeka-and-dubrovnik-this-summer-too/506216 indicates that it is going to run this year from 1st June to 30th September, but only twice a week, going north on Thursday and Sunday.
If they use the same schedule as in the past, I would expect a departure from Split at about 2000, arriving about 0630 in Rijeka. You need to check though.

There are multiple daily buses from Split to Rijeka, but trip takes 7.5 to 8.5 hours. You can check bus schedules at www.autobusni-kolodvor.com.

Also look at flying Croatia Airlines--they don't fly that route every day but it might just work out.
