Hi all, just completed the Best of the Adriatic tour—fantastic! Now we are in Hvar for a little r&r. Unfortunately, I stupidly threw away the section in Ricks book on Split and we need a hotel there for one night before we fly out. The Hotel Globo where the tour stayed is full. Does anyone have any suggestions? Need to book it ASAP. Thanks!!!

What about a sobe (croatian version of AirBnB)? These are readily available in Split. There are also multiple rental agencies there. We often go through booking.com. We have stayed in Split on 2 occasions, both in sobes. At this time of year, price should be quite reasonable.
If you have internet access, google "sobe split croatia" and you get several places to start. I see no reason to take a hotel. But YMMV

In addition, don't rule out hostels. They often have private rooms. We have stayed in hostels in Germany, Hungary, Romania, and Serbia. In each case, we had a room. Sometimes we had a bath in the room, other times not. It didn't matter, since we spend little time in the bathroom.
