We will be staying at Hotel Peristil in Split on May 8. We plan to rent a car from Sixt at Zagreb airport on the 6th and then return it on the 8th to one of 2 Split locations.
I am unsure where to return it.
Getting to the port car rental return looks a bit challenging.
The airport would probably be simpler than the port but then we need to spend 45€ to get to our hotel. I see a public bus option but it seems to be only every 4 hours. Am I missing a simpler way to get to the Diocletian Palace from the airport?

We’ve dropped off rental cars at both locations. The drop off near the port is fine. If you’ve ever driven in a big city it isn’t much different. Just go slowly and follow the GPS.
PS, we have stayed at the Hotel Peristil 3x and love it. The nicest family owns it and work there.

Thank you. We will give the port drop off a try. Looking forward to staying at the Perisitil.
Btw, Did you use a particular car service in Croatia for short rides? I want to be sure we have the right app installed ahead of time.
