Has anyone been to Solin? If so, did you wander around by yourself or go with an organized tour? Thank you
This is also known as Salona. We were staying in Trogir last September and stopped there after visiting Split. We just drove up to the entrance and parked in the gravel lot. There was no fee to enter but it may be that it was late afternoon. There was a tour bus there but we just wandered around by ourselves. From there we drove to another site where we visited the amphitheater. Both were very interesting.
Thank you Carol. About how much time is needed to visit the site?
I think we spent an hour or so wandering around the main site and maybe a half hour at the amphitheater. We visited it after Split so we were winding down. The amphitheater site is small but interesting. You could probably spend more time at the main site if you had time to spare.
