September Weather In Croatia

We will be visiting Croatia and Slovenia in mid September. What should we expect as far as temperatures, humidity, possible rain, etc?

The weather will vary. We were there in late September and Dubrovnik was hot. As we moved north, the weather became cooler, so you will need to plan for variable weather.

It is a great area to visit and a good time of year to visit.

Obviously, you are playing the odds with weather. It could rain any day you are there, any time of the year, but statistically you are likely to have good, warm weather on coast in September. Inland, I think you should be prepared for occasional rain. I've been to Ljubljana twice in September, and on both occasions, it rained at least one of the days there. (One day: downpours.) September is a good time to visit those countries in my view, though.

I was in southern Dalmatia in 2015 and the weather broke c 23 September, when it turned from sunny and mid 20s to 20 degrees maximum and cloud/rain. In 2016, in Istria, there was good weather into October, although there were a few wet days too by then.

Slovenia will be generally cooler and wetter. On average, you should be ok until late September.
